Digital Media Coordinator - Women's Business Center

The Salt Lake Chamber Women’s Business Center (WBC) Digital Media Coordinator will research, plan, implement and manage the WBC’s website, digital communication, and online entrepreneurial training programs and actively participate with the WBC Team to provide business support to help women build confidence, create opportunities and experience success in their own businesses.


Key tasks include:


  •          Maintain website, update content as needed
  •          Write content for and manage weekly blog
  •          Contact industry experts to write guest posts for weekly blog

Online Training

  •          Research online training platforms and develop best practices
  •          Develop additional courses based on client feedback
  •          Record videos of industry experts for online training courses
  •          Coordinate with My New Enterprise about Build Your Dream Company course
  •          Input training numbers for Build Your Dream Company and additional online courses into EDMIS
  •          Oversee communication for online training feedback and questions

 Marketing & Communication

  •          Manage and regularly post on social media channels
  •          Record weekly short videos (Tip Tuesday) and post to YouTube and social media
  •          Assist executive director in creating digital marketing strategies to effectively brand and promote WBC and new online training
  •          Oversee Gmail accounts and assist team members with any issues
  •          Create and maintain WBC mailing list(s) in Constant Contact
  •          Utilize Constant Contact to create monthly newsletters and event-specific email blasts as needed
  •          Ensure publicity of WBC events and programs distributing WBC information to partner organizations (SBDC, SCORE, NAWBO etc) and utilizing internal Chamber resources (communications, community relations, business development)

 Rural Outreach

  •          Coordinate with rural outreach VISTA position to meet Virtual WBC website needs
  •          Travel to Virtual WBC launch events as needed and guide launch event attendees through demo of online training

 Data & Record Keeping

  •          Manage website Google Analytics and prepare analytics reports as requested
  •          Maintain online forms, data collection, record keeping and reporting on use and impact of online training
  •          Ensure online training information is uploaded to EDMIS

 Team Support

  •          Assist with planning, registration, set-up, and clean up of events and in-person trainings
  •          Coordinate with program and special events manager on online goal setting and strategy
  •          Help set and accomplish WBC goals and objectives
  •          Provide updates, including statistics at weekly WBC team meeting
  •          Participate in cross training with executive director and business consultant to ensure efficiency in day-to-day operations


  •          Resolve A/R issues with Chamber accounting as needed
  •          Provide input and feedback on WBC correspondence, projects and special events
  •          Occasionally assist with Chamber events


Work requirements:

Organized and professional, excellent communication skills, and proven track record of working well with people. Experienced in project management, online platform technologies, video editing, efficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel and PowerPoint. Effective with managing multiple deadlines with developed skills for problem solving.


Education and experience requirements:

Four year degree preferred. Experience with WordPress, video editing software, online learning systems, and Constant Contact or other email marketing software preferred.
