Description:

Software Design Engineers at Microsoft are primarily responsible for the architecture, design and implementation of our products. They work in feature teams which consist of peer from multiple disciplines -- program managers, automation engineers, UI designers, etc. We are looking for individuals that work well with others and take a holistic product view. Success is defined by the cross-discipline team delivering the right result and not just specific individuals delivering their results. You should be willing to share your ideas and truly value the ideas of others.

This community has learned a lot of lessons over the years and has mastered software engineering. In the MDOP team, we have incorporated MS best engineering practices into our engineering system. Position Requirements

• Excellent coding skills in C++ and/or C#
• .Net framework skills are strongly desired
• Strong debugging skills
• Understanding of Virtualization concepts and technologies a plus
• Experience building IT enterprise products a plus
• At least 3-5 years software development experience
• Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related
• Ability to work well in a cross-discipline team environment
