Description: | Software Development Leads at Microsoft have a dual role of 50% technical (hands in the code) and 50% management/leadership. Technical responsibilities include architecture, design and implementation of our products. Management/leadership responsibilities include performance management, career development, mentoring, and helping to knock down barriers that effect the productivity of the team. Along with their team members, Leads work in feature teams which consist of peers from multiple disciplines -- program managers, automation engineers, UI designers, etc. We are looking for individuals that work well with others and take a holistic product view. Success of these teams is defined by the cross-discipline team delivering the right result and not just specific individuals delivering their results. You should be willing to share your ideas and truly value the ideas of others.

Position Requirements:
Excellent coding skills in C++ and/or C#
Strong debugging skills
At least 5-10 years software development experience including 2-3 years as manager or team lead
Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills
BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related
MBA a plus
Ability to work well in a cross-discipline team environment
Ability to work well in a cross-discipline team environment. Ability to work across groups by setting mutual goals, ensuring clarity of roles, and working together in ways which enhance business effectiveness.
Pursues work with energy, drive, and a strong accomplishment orientation
